Type of Update Description
Enhancement # 1

Stricter validation of usernames—LiveOps is implementing stricter validation of usernames. With this change, a username must conform to the following rules:

  • The username length must be between 3 to 128 characters
  • Only the following characters are permitted:
    • Upper case: A-Z
    • Lower case: a-z
    • Numerals: 0-9
    • A few special characters: - + @ .  _   
  • Other characters such as %, ^, <, > etc. are not permitted.

This rule will apply to all new usernames whereas existing usernames will not be affected by this change. However, any future changes made to existing usernames will require the usernames to conform with the new validation rules in entirety.
