Question

How long are audio recordings stored for?

Answer

Historical reporting (the call meta-data) is stored, retained and accessible to the customer within their tenant for 7 years.

Audio recordings, by default, are stored, retained and accessible by the customer within their tenant for only one year.

(Note: Most other cloud offerings store for 3-6 months).

If a customer requires longer-term storage for audio recordings there are several options available:

1) Individual recording export (Manual)

Using the LiveOps reporting tool, a customer can search for calls with recordings and manually export each recording to a local storage drive.

This is not recommended for large numbers of files.  There is no cost to perform this task.

2) Bulk recording export (Automated)

The LiveOps Professional Services team can assist in setting up a one-time or regular, automated bulk-export of reporting data and/or recording media content from the LiveOps cloud platform directly to the customer for off-site storage.  This is commonly done with a daily export using Secure FTP to transfer files to a customer’s FTP site; or with a one-time mass-export of many months’ worth of data/recordings.  This is a fee-based service.  Please contact your LiveOps Sales representative for more information.

3) Extend LiveOps storage to a lengthier period of time

LiveOps stores recordings for 12 months at no additional charge.  Longer storage periods are available for a nominal fee.  Please contact your LiveOps Sales representative for more information.
