  1. Offer Types

Offer types will define the look and feel of an offer that is presented to the customer.

 

An inactive sample offer type will initially be defined. This sample offer type can be cloned and modified to your specific needs.

 

Screen displays;

 

Offer Types are displayed in Name order. They can also be sorted by clicking on the column header for Name, Description, or Style Sheet columns.

 

  • Name
  • Offer type name.
  • Description
  • Offer type description.
  • Style Sheet
  • Style sheet used by the offer type.
  • Enabled
  • If the offer type is active, the check box under the ‘Enabled’ column will be populated.
  • If the check box is not populated the offer type will not be available as an offer type to be used (eg. for Proactive Offer Rules).
  • It is a good idea to preserve your historical offer types for future use by changing these to disabled rather than deleting them completely.
  • Preview
  • Click on the preview button to display the offer type as it would be presented to the customer.
  • Clone
  • Click on the clone button to make a copy of the selected offer type. All the details will be the same as the selected offer type, with ‘(cloned)’ appended to the offer type name.
  • Edit
  • Click on the edit button to make modifications to the offer type.
  • Delete
  • Click on the delete button to delete an existing offer type, then confirm you wish to delete it or select cancel to retain it.
  • Note: If the offer type is assigned to a Proactive Offer Rule, the rule will also be deleted.

 

  • Add Type
  • Click on add button to add a new offer type to the system.

 

  1. Add and Maintain an Offer Type

To add a new offer type, click on the Add Type button.

 

Screen displays;

 

  • Name
  • Offer type name is a required field.
  • Description
  • Offer type description.
  • HTML Fragment
  • HTML code to define the offer type.
  • Note: The HTML code is not checked by the system. You will need to ensure the code is correct.
  • Style Sheet
  • Style sheet used by the offer type.
  • Enabled
  • Check the enabled box if this offer type is to be put into use immediately.
  • Enabled is checked by default.

 

Entered the required details, and save the new offer type.

 

To maintain an existing offer type, click on the Edit button for the required offer type.

 

Screen displays;

 

Updated the required details, and save the existing offer type.

 

  • Save
  • Click on the save button to save the existing offer type.
  • Close
  • Click on the close button to close the existing offer type without saving any changes.
  • Delete
  • Click on the delete button to delete an existing offer type, then confirm you wish to delete it or select cancel to retain it.
  • Only available when maintaining an existing offer type.
  • Note: If the offer type is assigned to a Proactive Offer Rule, the rule will also be deleted.
  • Clone
  • Click on the clone button to make a copy of the current offer type. All the details will be the same as the current offer type, with ‘(Cloned)’ appended to the offer type name.
  • The clone action will act the same as creating a new offer type.
  • Preview
  • Click on the preview button to display the offer type as it would be presented to the customer.
