Agents Receive a 8002 Error Code when returning from lunch or break

Overview

Agents receive an 8002 error message when returning from lunch or an extended break.

Root Cause

The 8002 error message are displayed when you are already logged in, however, the Web Browser lost connectivity to the microphone object due to inactivity. Please follow the below steps to resolve this issue:

 

Step 1: Open your Windows Control Panel and click on the Power Options icon.

Step 2: Click on Change Plan Settings next to your selected plan.

Step 3: Click on the Change Advanced power settings at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: Expand the USB settings dropdown and ensure the On battery & Plugged in options are set to Disabled.

Conclusion

The Windows default option is to disable front USB ports after 30 minutes of inactivity. Changing the power options for the USB ports ensure that the ports never go into a sleep mode.
